Who We Are
This product was designed by Rob Godfrey
It is said that necessity is the mother of invention. That could not be more accurate for the inventor of Hair Color Columns. Rob has been the owner of a Redken Elite Salon for more than 30 years. He knows the challenges of storing, inventorying, displaying and dispensing multiple brands of Redken liqiud haircolor (Shades EQ and Color Gel Lacquers). Stocking over 160 shades with 4 to 12 bottles of each shade means that there are over 750 individual bottles on hand at all times. Most salon owners and managers know the headache of keeping an accurate color inventory.
After looking for a storage system for years with no luck Rob decided to crate one. But this system would have to check all the boxes of an ultimate color storage system. It would have to:
- Be gravity fed and attach to walls or cabinets
- Allow for partially used bottles to be put back for next use keeping them upright to prevent leaking
- Prevent multiple open bottles of the same shade
- Keep inventory rotated so existing bottles are used before newer ones
- Make inventory counts easier. The bottle's lables would have to be visible for inventory counts
- The system would be modular so it would be easy to add or subtract shades as they are introduced or discontinued
Hair Color Columns Does All That and More!
Each Column installs individually so the system is completely customizable to any space. They attach to walls, cabinets, partitions or any other vertical surface. When installed with the hook and loop (Velcro) method each column can be pulled off and moved without emptying color bottles from it. Hair Color Colmns can be glued, screwed or nailed in place if you choose not to use hook and loop.
